Company car tax rates announced for 4 years

The Government has announced the tax rates for a further two years to April 2023, and takes into account some of the impact of WLTP. This removes much of the uncertainty which company car choosers faced until now, though if a car is registered around the beginning of April 2020 there could still be critical differences.

All new cars to show WLTP fuel consumption figures from 1st January 2019. Cars in the dealer showroom will be labelled with a single set of figures for each configuration, whereas price lists and brochures will show a range of figures to cover the minimum and maximum MPGs in cases where factory-fit options make a significant difference.
