HMRC has released its latest advisory fuel rates (AFRs) this week, which will come into force from 1st September 2020.

Available at the AFR for all petrol rates remain unchanged, as do diesel rates for cars between 1600cc or less and over 2000cc.

Rates for diesel cars with an engine size between 1601cc to 2000cc have meanwhile increased from 9ppm to 10ppm. This is since previously falling from 11ppm in March to 9ppm for the June-August quarter.

LPG rates remain the same at 8ppm for engines between 1401cc to 2000cc for September's AFRs, whereas engines sizes 1400cc or less and over 2000cc have increased by 1ppm, up to 7ppm and 12ppm respectively.
